Product Description

Typically Blauberg Komfort LB heat recovery units are used for small and large residential houses, offices and commercial ventilation systems where noise levels are an issue. A 40mm highly acoustically insulated casing is used to significantly reduce noise levels so that quiet, virtually silent continual operation is achieved.New for 2019 is our smart home control system. This substantial upgrade enables you to program and control indoor air quality from your smart phone or ipad using wifi, or from anywhere in the world using the built-in smart hub and router. All Blauberg EC SB heat recovery units are now fitted with a built-in wireless router offering not just simple operation and control but full BMS Modbus connectivity to any compatible building management system.Komfort LB Units are also supplied with a pre-wired touch screen LCD programmable controller. The S25 panel enables full functionality, programming, commissioning and fault finding with simple menu driven options.High levels of filtration can be achieved as both a G4 and F7 filters are included as standard. This higher level of particle filtration cleans out pollen increasing efficiency down to PM2.5. For heyfever and allergy sufferers why not try the H13 HEPA filters for filtering pollen, airborne particles and other small particulate matter down to 0.3 microns.Two energy saving German EC fans are at the heart of the heat recovery unit, powerful enough to deliver airflow rates up to 83 l/s. This makes Komfort LB units suitable for residential developments such housing projects, student & nursing accommodation, flats, offices and commercial civic installations.Significant heat and energy is recovered from the dirty moist air as it passed through the heat recovery ventilation unit. Typically, in an air tight house over 90% of heat can be recovered and reused. Using traditional ventilation systems or extractor fans, this recovered energy would normally be extracted outside and wasted.

Design
  • The casing is made of double-skinned aluzinc panels, internally filled with mineral wool layer 40 mm for heat- and sound-insulation.
  • The casing has mounting brackets with anti-vibration rubber mounts for easy installation.
  • The unit is equipped with service hatches on the side panels for easy maintenance of filters. This design enables the left-hand and right-hand installation of the unit.
  • The spigots are located at the sides of the unit and are equipped with rubber seals for airtight connection to the air ducts.
Fans

Heat Recovery
  • The KOMFORT EC LB(E)… unit is equipped with a plate counter-flow polystyrene heat exchanger for heat recovery. The unit condensate is collected and drained to the drain pan under the heat exchanger.
  • The KOMFORT EC LB(E)…-E unit is equipped with an enthalpy plate counter-flow heat exchanger for energy (heat and humidity) recovery. Due to humidity recovery condensate is not generated in the enthalpy heat exchanger.
  • The air flows are completely separated in the heat exchanger. Thus smells and contaminants are not transferred from the extract air to the supply air.
  • Heat recovery is based on heat and/or humidity transfer through the heat exchanger plates. In the cold season supply air is heated in the heat exchanger by transferring the heat energy of warm and humid extract air to the cold fresh air. Heat recovery minimizes ventilation heat losses and heating costs respectively.
  • In the warm season the heat exchanger performs reverse and intake air is cooled in the heat exchanger by the cool extract air. That reduces operation load on air conditioners and saves electricity.
Air Filtration
  • Two built-in G4 and F7 filters provide efficient supply air filtration.
  • The G4 filter is used for extract air filtration.
Air Heater
  • The KOMFORT EC LBE S25 units are equipped with an electric heater for additional heating of supply air downstream of the heat exchanger.
  • The KOMFORT EC LB S25 units are not equipped with built-in heaters but both a preheater and a reheater can be purchased separately.
Bypass
  • The KOMFORT EC LB(E) S25 model is equipped with a bypass which is automatically opened in summer if there is a need to cool down the ventilated area with cool intake air.
  • If the unit is equipped with an electric heater, the bypass is used for freeze protection of the heat exchanger.
Mounting
  • Mounting on floor or ceiling with fixing brackets.
  • The correct mounted unit must provide condensate collecting and drainage as well as access to service mounting and filter replacement.
Control And Automation
  • KOMFORT EC LB… S25 units are equipped with an integrated automation system. The remote control panel is not included in the delivery set (purchased separately).
  • The S25 controller allows integrating the unit into the Smart Home system or BMS (Building Management System).
  • The unit can be controlled via the Blauberg AHU mobile application via Wi-Fi.
